  • SYNOPSIS: "LAMB" focuses on the relationship between Brother Michael Lamb (Liam Neeson), a teacher in a Roman Catholic-run institution for troubled boys on the Atrim Coast of Ireland, and a 10-year old Owen Kane (Hugh O'Conor), the school's most unruly pupil. Dumped into the institution by his abusive mother, Owen is an incorrigible mess who smokes cigarettes, curses, wets his bed, picks fights and has epileptic seizures. After witnessing an unjust and sadistic punishment against the troubled boy by the school's headmaster, Brother Benedict (Ian Bannen), Michael Lamb starts to question his already shaky faith. When Michael's father dies, he finally feels free. Taking his inheritance, Michael snatches up Owen, hops on a ferry and heads to London. His plan is decidedly unclear, until a path makes itself known, he and Owen go on a journey which leads to a tragic and uncompromising solution. Music by Van Morrison
