- SYNOPSIS: TALIESIN-WEST: An authorized documentary look at Frank Lloyd Wright's Arizona headquarters and teaching studio.
TALIESIN- EAST: A documentary about Frank Lloyd Wright's Wisconsin home.
Jim Davis (1901-74), a painter who became intrigued by the refraction of light through glass and plastics, turned to film at first to record, and then to intensify the motion and color of light. Abstract yet familiar, Davis' images evoke inner and cosmic landscapes. By the 1950's he was also making films about fellow artists (Frank Lloyd Wright and John Marin), cities (Chicago), and the natural environment (New Jersey, Maine and West Virginia).
